I am cordially inviting you to the very special opening event for the 'Facing Hard Times' International Open Exhibition on Saturday 1st October (2pm-7pm - pop in any time) at the Greyfriars Art Space, 43 St James Street, Kings Lynn, PE30 5BZ, UK (opposite the Greyfriars Tower).
Why not join myself (co-organiser), curator Joa Manninen and digital artist Andy Stringer this coming Saturday for one of the most important and strikingly relevant open art exhibitions West Norfolk has ever held.
Sample our wine, alcoholic punch or soft drinks, together with a selection of food, as you peruse outstanding works from some of the most powerful and cutting-edge international artists practising today. Paint, Print, photography, Video installations and mixed-media works combine to give a snapshot of the world in economic crisis, with pain, humour, pathos, and anger expressed in equal measures.
During this special opening event (with possibly an odd surprise happening throughout the day!) we will announce the winners of OOTB Artist of the Year and OOTB Best Emerging Talent of the Year cash prizes (announced around 2.30pm), and give you the chance to meet some of the artists themselves.
The gallery doors will be open from 2pm-7pm on Saturday, and we would love to see you any time during that day.
The exhibition will continue at Greyfriars Art Space, King's Lynn from Monday 3 - Sat 15 October 2011.
Further information here.
Namaste,
Phil Barrington
